Shalem is a vibrant seniors' living community in Calgary, where older adults are celebrated and experience wholeness in being, faith, and belonging. To mark 40 years of service and prepare for the future, Shalem needed a digital and brand refresh that honoured its legacy while supporting residents, families, and staff.
The ask: a platform that strengthens connections, streamlines the key processes residents and families rely on, and brings Shalem's values of dignity, faith, and joy to life — without losing the warmth that has always been the community's signature.

Our approach
This wasn't about building something new — it was about honouring people and stories. We reimagined Shalem's visual identity with the warmth and dignity that define the community, past, present, and future.
We untangled application processes and digital tools so that residents and their loved ones could navigate with ease and confidence. From karaoke concerts to milestone celebrations, we created a digital gathering place where the Shalem community can connect, participate, and share memories — and every choice, from colour palette to navigation, was made so the new platform feels like home.

The solution
The new Shalem platform invites users in with warmth and ease, blending intuitive design with meaningful functionality. Residents and families now access and manage applications effortlessly, removing the barriers that once slowed the journey in.
A lively events hub makes it simple to discover, register for, and enjoy community programs. Every detail — visuals, messaging, navigation — honours the legacy while welcoming what's next, designed with seniors and their families in mind so the platform feels like a natural extension of the community itself.
